Resurrection

For as death hath passed upon all men, to fulfil the merciful plan of the Great Creator, there must needs be a power of Resurrection [Jesus], and the Resurrection [Jesus] must needs come unto man by reason of the fall; and the fall came by reason of transgression; and because man became fallen they were cut off from the presence of the Lord.

2 Nephi 9:6

Our Heavenly Parents gave us this life to have a physical experience, grow, and gain firsthand knowledge of good and evil. In learning to walk, we stumble in fear and make choices that are not based in divine love. In stumbling to choose the good and reject the evil, God knew that we would sin and prepared a way for us to grow in divine love despite our fear and unseen wounds. Jesus came to save and heal us from our fall. He came to give us greater life in all its forms. He came to offer us eternal life. He came to bring us back to our Heavenly Parents transformed with new knowledge, new abilities to choose love, and cleaned from our wounds and sins. Jesus is the power of our physical resurrection from death and our spiritual rebirth from sin. He creates and transforms the evil in our lives for our good. The merciful plan of God is to transform us into something higher and holier than we were before we came to earth, with new knowledge, and new abilities to manifest divine godly love.
