And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, you that belong to this church, have you sufficiently retained in remembrance the captivity of your fathers? Yea, and have you sufficiently retained in remembrance his Mercy and Long-suffering towards them? And moreover, have ye sufficiently retained in remembrance that he has delivered their souls from hell?
Behold, he changed their hearts; yea, he awakened them out of a deep sleep, and they awoke unto God. Behold, they were in the midst of darkness; nevertheless, their souls were illuminated by The Light of the Everlasting Word [who is Jesus]; yea, they were encircled about by the bands of death, and the chains of hell, and an everlasting destruction did await them.
And now I ask of you, my brethren, were they destroyed? Behold, I say unto you, Nay, they were not.
And again I ask, were the bands of death broken, and the chains of hell which encircled them about, were they loosed? I say unto you, Yea, they were loosed, and their souls did expand, and they did sing Redeeming Love. And I say unto you that they are saved.
Jesus is the same Savior who we read about who saved others. He will save us. If we look to him, we will awaken from our sleep in dreary darkness. We will come alive and our souls will expand so that we can sing praises to Jesus who is our source of Mercy and Redeeming Love.
The purpose of life is to become a divine being of love. We live in a fallen world with pain, suffering, and darkness. Jesus calls us to grow up like tender plants out of the dark soil of this life reaching upwards into his divine light. Our destiny is to become divine beings of love that are able to love even in a fallen world. The light of his Redeeming Love [Jesus] saves us from the decay and rot of the soil we live in. He expands our souls with his love. In turn, we are gradually transformed into divine beings of love. His love is stronger than death and hell. He will strengthen us so that we can also love divinely and our love will grow brighter through his grace until it becomes stronger than this fallen world and will also be able to endure beyond pain, suffering, death, and hell. All things may fail, but the pure love of Christ will endure forever. To become a being of divine love is the Great Commandment. It is our eternal purpose and our destiny.
