…Remember, to be carnally-minded is death, and to be spiritually-minded [in Jesus] is life eternal.
O, my beloved brethren, give ear to my words. Remember the greatness of [Jesus] the Holy One of Israel. Do not say that I have spoken hard things against you; for if ye do, ye will revile against the truth [of Jesus]; for I have spoken the words of [Jesus] your Maker. I know that the words of truth are hard against all uncleanness; but the righteous fear them not, for they love the truth and are not shaken.
O then, my beloved brethren, come unto the Lord [Jesus], the Holy One. Remember that his paths are righteous. Behold, the way for man is narrow, but it lieth in a straight course before him, and the keeper of the gate is the Holy One of Israel; and he employeth no servant there; and there is none other way save it be by the gate [of Jesus]; for he cannot be deceived, for the Lord God is his name.
2 Nephi 9:39-41
Jesus invites us to him. He is the source of eternal life. He invites us to adopt his ways of thinking and being so that we are spiritually-minded. He invites us to love one another including those who may have wronged us. Jesus loves everyone and he died for everyone to include those who have wronged us. To become spiritually-minded like Jesus is to not have our hurt turn into hate, but have it bring us closer to Jesus so that he can heal us. If we lay our suffering at his feet, we will grow in empathy, compassion, forgiveness, and love. Jesus is the ultimate cleanser of our souls. His love will scrub out all uncleanliness. Let us make a straight path to Jesus to heal our hearts, cleanse our sins, be filled with his love, and adopt his spiritually-minded ways. He is the gate to becoming a divine spiritually-minded being who radiates love.
