Verily, verily, I say unto you, I give unto you to be the light of this people. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

3 Nephi 12:14

At night, a city on a hill is full of light. Travelers in the valley can see the light and navigate towards the city to find shelter for the night. A city on a hill is like a lighthouse helping travelers know how to navigate. Jesus is a shining city on a hill. He is the eternal mansions in heaven above. He is the heart of the city of Zion and its gatekeeper. His miracles and goodness cannot be hid if we have the spiritual eyes to see. Jesus asks us to follow his example and also be like a city set on a hill. He invites us to share God’s divine light and love with others.
